Purpose of the Corporation

The Corporation shall be known as the Nwametaw Cultural and Development Organization Inc.

Executives

General Purpose

To bring together the sons and daughters of Nwametaw village in the United States to nurture a strong sense of community, love, unity, and friendship through various activities focused on development, philanthropy, culture, health, and socioeconomic well-being.

The corporation shall participate in or contribute to development projects that improve the quality of life in Nwametaw and the people of Nwametaw anywhere in the world. All such projects must meet the corporation's public or charitable goals and must be included in the corporation's investment budget for the period. NWACUDO-USA may collaborate with NWACUDO Cameroon to realize the project(s).

The General Assembly must approve any project that exceeds $10,000.00

Notwithstanding section 2 (b) above, where it is impossible to convene a general assembly of the organization, the executive body shall present the projects to the Board of Trustees (BOT). The BOT shall review and approve the projects within one month. If the project(s) is/are of an emergency nature, the CEO shall inform the BOT in writing about the emergency and request an extra-ordinary meeting within a reasonable time to address the emergency. The meeting may either be in person or virtual.

The executive shall ensure that no one village/quarter shall receive assistance consecutively unless there is no other request from other villages/quarters and it has accounted for any prior assistance. Priority for a request for assistance shall be based on the request and the project's impact on the development in Nwametaw, which the CEO shall determine in consultation with the BOT.

In order to qualify for consideration for assistance or donation, the project must be ongoing and of a community nature, involving members of that community with equal rights of participation. NWACUaDO-USA may fund or partner to fund a project undertaken by an individual if it satisfies the “community nature” requirements.

In solidarity with other nonprofit organizations, NWACUDO-USA may respond to their convention invitations or fundraiser requests with the sum of $200.00 upon the BOT’s approval.
